Hello, I am Laura

Throughout my professional career, I have been able to design physical products, such as furniture and create workshops for educational purposes. My passion for digital products began when I collaborated on a web page and software interaction design project. Following this experience, my adventurous spirit led me to migrate to Australia to learn English and immerse myself in new cultures.

My journey as a migrant and traveller has given me rich experiences and valuable lessons, making me more resilient, persistent, and adept at problem-solving. I am deeply grateful for this transformative experience in my life.

After settling in a new country, my entrepreneurial spirit and passion for photography, pets, and Graphic Design inspired me to start a pet-sitting business called Ambu. Since 2019, I have provided excellent customer service, resulting in a loyal base of repeat customers every year.

My passion for design led me to pursue a diploma in Graphic Design, where I gained valuable skills that enabled me to work as a freelance Graphic Designer for two companies in Melbourne. With experience in physical Product and Graphic Design, I furthered my career by participating in the Digital Jobs Victoria program, where I received a scholarship to study UX and UI Design at RMIT University.

These diverse experiences have equipped me with strong skills in design thinking, qualitative and quantitative research, experimentation, behavioural design, usability and creativity, making me an ideal candidate for a UX and UI designer role.
